Why not open the drain in the bottom and pour some clean fuel in to flush it out or you could use a lint free cloth to wipe it out.

With only 15k miles on it and mud in it, you might want to change where you fill up at.

I've changed mine twice now and both times had a small amount of sediment in the bottom which is normal. If you have larger debris I would also recommend changing where you fuel up at.

I just use a lint free rag to soak it up and wipe it out.

Just take it off and clean it.

clean with tooth brush and clean fuel while clean out is open. if this happens alot check the two vent hoses on fuel tank to see if they are open or have filters on them.there is a tsb or a recall for this problem on 06 trucks.

I was getting some blue crap in the bottom of my filter. It looked like gasket sealent. I changed my filter at 2500 miles (just to do it) and saw the gunk. Use some clean diesel to flush it out. Then changed the filter again (to check for blue gunk) at 5K. More blue gunk. Grrrrrrrrr.

Switched gas stations. Checked Fuel filter at 7500. Clean as a whistle. Can't say 100% it was the gas station I usually frequent, so who knows. At least the gunk was getting filtered.
