Is this crazy?
I just bought a 04 3500 with only 2300 miles on it. The dealer is going to do it's first service since it has not been done. My question is how can I have them change my lift pump to the new updated one if there is nothing wrong with the original? The warranity runs out on the truck Nov of 07. BTW I'm a new guy.

I doupt the dealer will do it on but it's worth a shot, I'm sure you could call DC about your warrenty. I would just ask them questions about the TSB and WHY they they changed it from stock, make them tell you about the relieability issues, then ask them to fix it....they just did mine under warrenty and I had 100,890mi on it!!! If not Glacier Diesel Performance sells a very similar kit for around $400 but it is much easier to install, just bypass the stock pump and install the new pump on the frame, but you ABSOLUTLY should not have to do that to a new truck, the dealer should. Be civil, and try not to tell them anything, only ask!!!
