Crank / Cam position sensor

I have a Rocktech crank / cam position sensor on my '07 5.9. Noticed in a parts catalog that there is a different part # for 03 - 05 's and 06 - 07 's. The one on my 07 came off of my 05 I sold. They look different in the pictures also. 03 - 05 has a yellow rubber seal and 06 - 07 has a red rubber seal. Other than that, I can't see any other differences. Anybody know. The truck has had a slight miss when cold over 2000 RPM since almost new. Goes away when warm. Are the 2 connected? Thanks.
