Could this be my APPS? Shutters though 55mph
A couple of weeks ago my truck started struggling with a little shuttering through about 55mph to 65mph. Freeway on ramps that are up hill are the worst. While it is doing this on the freeway, if I let off the accelerator pedal the shuttering will stop. But, the second I need to apply a little more power the shuttering returns.
The truck can cruise above 70mph no problem. This is all unloaded. And around town it is unnoticable. No codes as of tonight.
Is this my APPS gizmo? I stared at it under the dash, but it did not admit to being the cause.
I just changed my air filter, and I originally thought that I wasn't getting a good seal. The shuttering feels like a motorcycle with ram air did when some hoses didn't get connected. The air filter is a Purilator, I think. Could the new filter be too restrictive? It looks just like the OEM one.
I know ya'all will guide me in the right direction.

How many miles??? I'm thinking your problem sounds more transmission related or driveline. The Apps will give you a sluggish throttle and/or dead pedal. From what i hear you will more than likely pop a code with it too.

Have you had the tranny serviced yet? Its 99% not the Apps I can tell you that. But sounds like what i stated above something like ujoints, carrier bearing, or transmission is slipping clutches, or torque converter issues.
