Buy a box of extra large Depends. You'de be amazed at how much oil they can absorbe.

NEVER take it to a dealer for a transmission flush or filter replacement unless you just have extra money to burn. Take it to a reputable place and ask them to do it. It's not rocket science, this is an easy job.

Never having done it before this time I was pretty nervous, after changing it I see just how easy it was. I will never have my mechanic change it again! I just need to scrounge up enough change to get a new cover with a drain plug or install one myself.

I wondered the same thing too. He said don't worry about it. It won't get all of it out....but it gets enough out. Then get on a schedule.

He also said do not flush. It can loosen up debris in the trans and clog things up and cause problems. ESPECIALLY if you don't change the filter.

Mine gets changed every 20k....with new filter....and always comes out looking like new.

..
X2.........use some lubreguard if your worried about it.
