I will tell the full story if the truck is bought but i have some questions about a 2006 3500 4x4 6spd dually common rail truck w/16k

I want to know warranty info, problems, things to watch out for, recalls, tsb's. Basically any reason not to buy the truck. Main thing i have hard is the injectors but i need info please.

YEH!!!what Teaxas CTD said!!!! You'll love it!!!! Not sure on the warrenty...I believe that the 100,000mi Motor/drivetrain is...but not sure. The 06's only came with a 36,000mi bumper to bumper so I would not worry about that.

Also check the HR meter in the truck, then divide the engine hours by the total milage to get the miles per engine hr. 25 is pretty low (alot of idling, traffic and SHIFTING/BREAKING!!) 35 seems about avarage, and 45+ means the truck is on the move alot!!!

Why is he selling it???? I could not even deam of selling a new 6spd CTD unless???!!!! also read other threads, alot of guys (including me) have bought new loaded 06 CTD's for 30-36g's out the door !!!! I see some used CTD sell on ebay for those prices!!!!

 

the guy that owned it diedand his sons dont need it. I dont think you can get much more loaded then this thing besides appearance packages. It has painted tow mirrors and everything. i am going with my mom to look at it tonight. Pretty much going to tel her if there are any problems. He wants 40k for it. It may sound like alot but we will talk to him. I have already tols them the price on 06 and later will go up because some poeple will fork the money over on used just to keep away from emissions.

 

Seems a bit steep to me......! I bet you can get a new "07" for that and all the "07's" delivered before Jan 1st of "07" have the same emissions crap as the "06". It is when the dealer takes delivery or Mfg date.....not model year! I bought a "06" Larimae for $42,000 ($52,000 inv)with all the bling.....it has an auto....6sp is less $$........."06" and "07" have the same warrenty.....it is now 3yr 36,000mi i think....less than the "05"'s.

 

i priced an 07 exactly as the truck they are looking at and it came to 57k. Like i said we will see, im sure he will come down, im just stating the asking price before we see it.

 

I got my 07 3 months ago for 35.6K TtT and it has pretty much every thing but leather I picked it up with 285miles on it.
