Injectors

I blew 4,5,6 injectors with the quad box and bullydog and my dealer never said a thing. I removed the boxes at the gas station around the corner from their dealership and they had to be completely stupid to not know that I had it chipped heck there is two pyro taps boost guage and tranny guage of course the outlook was hidden, but come on.

Some dealer's should be taken out back and beaten. I took my truck into a local dealer (not where I bought the truck) and my quad box was still hooked up and the problem was with the box the wires were bad or something ( quad fixed it quick fast and in a hurry - excellent service) but I told them that my power mirrors weren't working and the power windows? And they told me that with the chip they couldn't turn it into DC for repairs? I was down there in two minutes to pick up my truck and took it the 80 miles to the dealership where I bought it and they fixed it right then and there. Just replaced the switches!!

Update, I was finally in town long enough to take it to anotehr dealer wich was suggested to me by the cummins shop. They just called and stated that the Lift pump was going bad. They will replace under warranty and he also wanted to do a "injector service" which he stated is a maintenance item at 30 and 60k. The cost for that is 250.00. He mentioned that it's a good thing to do since the pump may have been starving the injectors and weakened the injector pump as well. This would also show DC that maintence was perfomed should other parts fail down the line. I don't have the service manual with me to verify and he seemed on the up and up and I told him to go ahead.

Ask them what page in the service book does it recommend a injector service.
Also call Cummins and ask them their opinion on injector flushes. Then relay that info onto the dealership.
Of course they will replace the LP under warrenty, but now they have also gotten your $250 on the injector service. And will burn $20 worth of fuel to do it.

The proper way to service these injectors is to have them removed, sent to a shop IE Cummins/Bosch, Where they will clean them, then bench test them to ensure that an even and equal pattern is maintained in the spray.

That story is why I don't mind people modding their trucks and then taking them in for service..... That dealership would have taken no telling how much money from this individual, and all it was was the junk lift pump... They prey on the uninformed, they want to sit and cry about all the money they loose in warranty work to modded trucks. The number of modded trucks that they have to do warranty work on is nothing compared to the number of individuals they bend over on any given day....
