Code removal

Code removal
The check engine light came on the other day, and the truck has been starting and idling rough, but running fine otherwise. Put the code reader on and got the codes P0514, P0335 and p0336. I changed the crankshaft position sensor which had been damaged by the edge of the serpentine belt shredding a bit and wearing at the sensor.(Changed the belt also). The truck is starting and running beautifully again, so I deleted the codes with the code reader, and the crankshaft codes are gone, but the battery temp one will not delete!
Any idea how to remove this code so I can get rid of that darn check engine light?

Just my .02 but if a CEL is present, it's there for a reason. Until you fix the problem the code will remain. You can temporarily remove it but, like you said, it will come back.

Thanks for the inputs guys; took it for a short drive this morning, and the check engine light is gone and she runs like a top; must have resolved itself (the battery temp code) which according to old threads I searched on here, is quite common.
Thanks again and merry xmas!
