Clutch Roller Bearing - 2 gone in first month
Hey everyone, first time poster, cummins lover. Wondering if anyone else is going through the same agony as me so early into aquiring there new pickup. I have a 2006 2500 Cummins Sport and have gone through 2 clutch roller bearings already in a month or so of use. I do put on quite a few miles in a month due to work, but seems to me that 3k is a little low for that to be happening. The dealership says it is covered by warrenty, but this will be the second one they will put in in less than a 2 week span . What it sounds like when shifting and also just idling is that the clutch is grinding and stuttering against something. Only mods so far are tearing the silencer ring out and adding a K&N cold intake to it along with a few cosmetics. Anyone with any ideas or have heard of this happening to them or someone else please HELP ME!!!!
P.S. Still workin on the signature.

Which bearing did they replace?
The throwout bearing? They usually make the most noise while depressing the clutch pedal.
The pilot bearing? Easily confused with throwout bearing noise. Shouldn't make any noise when the trans is in neutral and foot off the pedal.
Input shaft bearing? Should not make noise when stopped in gear and clutch pedal depressed. But will make noise when in neutral and foot off the clutch

They said it was just the clutch bearing, but it makes sounds and grinds even in neutral, but mostly at low rpms and when the clutch pedal is partially depressed. The tech said it was the easy one to get to, not the hard one???Had to tear the whole tranny out to change it though.
