Checking your hrs?

I know you can check the amount of hrs on you CTD some how, but how do you do it? I heard turning your key and hitting the restet button? Is that correct?

Turn the key just a smidge but don't start and hold in the trip reset. A dinger will ring and then your hrs pop up. Sometimes it takes me a couple times to get it to show.

Maybe a stupid question, but is this a 3rd gen thing only, or can I check the hrs on my second gen too?

didn't work for me. A tech at the dealership told me they have to hook up to the port to give you that info

It works on all 3rd generations. Just follow Pull U 2's directions.

That's a pretty cool feature. 474 hours with 15,090 miles. That's an average speed of 31.8mph!

I did a little math and came up with this:

I drive an average of 63 miles per day.
The truck runs an average of almost 2 hours per day.

At those rates the truck will have 3,650 hours and 115,000 miles in 5 years.

It's funny because there will be times when I don't drive for 3 or 4 days during school.
