Changing front and rear lube?

Its about time to change the front and rear diff lube. Any recommendations on brand that meets the Dodge spec.? Are the seals reusable?

Thanks for the info

Seals are reusable. Fluids - just make sure they meed DC's specs. Use Synthetic 75-90 & Amsoil, Mobile 1, Royal Purple, Valvolie, etc...

You might consider ordering some new covers form PML. They have drain plugs & mak echanging the fluid extremely easy.

Man, I don't know about the other brands cause I haven't used them, but Amsoil has worked great for me. I have changed every 15k with Amsoil and my last change (45k) I was looking at the ring gears in both the front and rear, and there are still machining marks on the teeth. I have pulled pretty regular and know on a few occasions I've gotten the diffs pretty warm. So, thats pretty impressive, at least to me it was.

Any synthetic GL-5 rated gear oil in 75W90 or 75W140 will be fine. Personally I use Mobil 1 75w90 with no problems. You can reuse the seals.

Quantity

4 quarts rear
3 quarts front

I just did mine for the first time, ever, in my life, and its a piece of cake. I will be ordering some new covers with drain plugs before the next time though to make it even easier!

I just used a section device to remove the oil. works easy, no mess. then you can remove the cover to check the gears if you want to. allot cheaper than new diff covers. something similer to this, http://www.boatersworld.com/product/366982973.htm

I used amsoil last change
