We looking under the truck this weekend and cleaning off the road salt with a garden hose and me in a rain suit. <br><br>much to my surprise, the truck doesn't have a Catalytic Converter.<br><br>...does anyone else have a Cat?

 

My SO cummins does not have a cat either.

 

Thats correct no CAT's on these rigs. ;D

 

There hasn't EVER been a catalytic converter installed on any 24V Cummins ever (except for maybe in California).<br><br>Vaughn

 

My '97 12 valver had one...untill it and the muffler fell of one day

 

THis is an old thread, but just for the record. They did not have catalytic converters, they had resonators. Big difference and they caused a lot of back pressure as miles accumulated. Many guys thought they were cats. But in fact they were simply resonators.

 

What ever it was - I pitched it in the weeds along with muf and saw a huge DEcrease in turbo lag. ;D
