carli suspension

Hello
I'm wondering if there is a very noticable difference in going to a carli starter suspension over just doing a standerd spacer kit. Right now i've got the tgc spacers and the ride is just like stock, but if i go to a full blown system am I going to feel like i'm getting my money's worth? I use my truck alittle off road but I want a better highway ride too, mostly for the speed bumps that they say the progressive coils will make softer feeling, but also better for the corners.
Also Kore or Carli I've been reading on both, very similer but priced them today and once is about 500 dollars prouder of there product.
Thanks for any replys ben

I've been looking to do the same thing for similar reasons. I have also been looking at Thuren and Lorenz. Thuren seems to have the best customer service. I've e-mailed him a few times and he has responded within the day. I also believe Thuren is upgradable in the future if you ever want to switch to the King shocks. Let me know what you end up with. I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Yeah the upgradability is a good point about the carli system too. I don't think I would ever need the remote resevoir shocks, that and it doubles the price of the system. They did say get a adjustable track bar for starters though. Yeah i've got to wait to get my 07 before I get this done, just lining things up in advance.

I have the Lorenz 5100 Bilstein Suspension. Same as the Carli Starter and KORE Recon set up. It rides better than my 2" Tuff Country Level Kit that I had on. It handles better over rough terrian and soaks up the concussion you get. No rear end hopping at faster speeds and the front end does not feel rough or steering correction everywhere on bumps. The Lorenz 5100 Suspension was roughly $170 cheaper than Carli. Go to Lorenz website and email Sean (the owner himself). He has great customer service and will reply back within 24 hrs. If you leave your number on the email he will call you back.

All three suspension companies at the starter suspension level. Will give you similiar results. It basically coming down to customer service and your preference on name. I am very happy w/ the Lorenz setup.

BTW- You can always upgrade w/ the Lorenz systems.

what is kinda funny about upgrading any of the suspensions, is you can do it to all of them.

Replace with new stuff.

Its not like you can make a 5100 shock a 2.5" shock.

So I am not sure what is being talked about with the ability to upgrade.

as for customer service, Lorenz has been great for me. During the install I talked to him many times. He also calls me to check up on how the suspension is doing.

What I meant was. You can always buy what you can afford at the time and just add as you get the money to get a suspension build that you want.

Thuren, Carli and Lorenz are pretty much all like this. The'll work with you and break-up their "kits" and put together components you need/want. But you need to pay attention when buying shocks. The prerunner/race shocks (King, Sway-A-Way, etc.) need the taller shock towers. I don't think the Bilsteins do.

Well, I did upgrade the end links from the drop blocks. I am going to get the Carli/Defiant Steering Stablizer and Trac Bar. Sean told me to give them a call. I take it you have those on your suspension. How to you like them?

I hoping to make a trip to Carli's shop early next week. I got my new springs and would like to have them install it. I've lost all confidence in my normal shop. I just hope I don't drive home with a new rock guard and dual steering stabilizer 'cause my wife will kill me!

You've always got your travel trailer to sleep in, right?

Hey, that's an idea! But I was able to restrain myself and only had them add limit straps...
