This kind of thing happens more than you would believe. I bought a quart bottle of septic tank treatment from Lowes and when I got home it had nothing but clean water in it.

I know this because having used it before I am aware of it's foul smell. Being a quick learner I vowed to always check for the seal under the cap when buying this stuff again.

So here it is a couple years later, I buy another bottle and check to see that the seal is under the cap. I get home and go to use it and when I grab the seal it falls off in my hand...... Yep another one full of water.

So I guess I need to open it completely at the store to be sure I am not getting water again. I have no desire to pay $16.00 for a quart of water to pour down a toilet

Sad thing is the girl at the returns register looks at me like I am the one who is returning water to them.

I got some plug wires for the wifes car from Auto Zone once. While taking them out of the box, I wondered what the sting was for. Then it dawned on me. It was an old set someone had returned. I used to live nearly 40 minutes away. They got a good earfull, but didn't offer to compensate for my inconvience. Just one of the many reasons I don't shop there.

lawnmower battery tipped over in my 04, burnt a nice hole in the carpet.

pull up the door sill plastic trim, and it will be FULL.

unscrew the jack & take it out if it's on that side

If it were my truck, the seats and carpet would have been out of there the day it happened and new carpet on order. I would not even try to "salvage" the carpet.

Wow, If you had a valve cover leak would you rebuild the engine and tranny?

Hey, it's just a personal preference, but I carry stuff like oil either in the bed or in the toolbox, and (other than the spare quart that I carry on trips, but have never used) I take the oil out of the truck as soon as I get home. But then again, Murphy and I are on a first name basis.

Yeah - I'm the same way with my interior... I won't even wear my workboots or gloves inside the truck, but keep them in one of the truckboxes - that way I can still drive the ladies around in style.

Geez you guys!! It's a truck! Did you forget it has a bed to put nasty stuff in? Nothing goes in the cab of my truck that is liquid other than bottled water. Even groceries go in the bed. Heaven help the SOB that ever trys to eat anything in my truck. Someday, none of this will matter, but for now, and while I'm making payments on a $40K truck, it's going to stay clean.
If any of these horror stories had happened to me, I would be physically ill.

In the meantime, I went out and bought weathertech floor liner/pans front and rear. Any spill that somehow happens in my truck will now be contained to the mat.
