"Cardboard Winter Fronts"
Is there anything wrong with usuing a sheet of carboard or perforated peg board between the intercooler and the rad for a winter front...good thing is your intercooler won't be blocked off.
I have heard stoties though of fans sucking themselve into the rad?
This seems farfetched....but is it possible?
Comments Please

I was going to do that, but after reading so much about the Mopar cover, I ordered one. It's a great accessory and, though probably a bit overpriced through the dealer, worth it.
It goes on easily, is adjustable with 4 flaps to determine the opening size and is behind the grille so it can't be taken.
It's about $120, but definately worth it. And they're not on backorder anymore; mine came Monday.

okay guys,
i know this is going to be a very stupid question. does the winter front open up enough to be used all year long? it looks like it would be a great bug stopper.
i know... stupid question.

Anybody that has the Mopar Front should keep in mind that it also covers the tranny cooler. In the warmer weather or up to your door handles in snow could be a bad thing. A water temp of 200deg could mean the tranny is @ least that hot or hotter. I would not recommend this front for anybody towing.

I checked mine today as I have the mopar front, and the trans cooler(trans cooler is at the top) is at least 3/4 exposed to the air when the flaps are open.Obviously this does not apply if all flaps are closed.Rob.

I use the Lund cold front grill insert in my truck (black lexan, not stainless). Inexpensive, and pretty effective. since it closes off the grill openings. Some air can still come thorugh the bumper and from below, so it's not the ticket for REALLY cold places, but for me here in PA where it can be cold but not unbearable, I like it.
Easy to install and you need more air, you just have 3 thumbscrews to pop a panel out.....
