edge ez, quad, power puck, mp-8 are all some pressure boxes that could help you out

The stock pump can produce from 0 up to 30,000psi or maybe a little higher not much.

Your stock values will be from 4000 up to 23,500psi.
With a pressure box you should see a max of 26,500psi as the rail pressure safety valve will pop at 27,000psi.

I have had a problem with hard starts I think it maybe the rail pressure sensor.

I would probably get a lift pump to keep you injection pump happy.

Your pump should be on the back of the filter unless it has been upgraded already by the dealer to the "in tank" version. I'm guessing though, from the original post, that a lift pump won't cure the issues. Neither will increasing the rail pressure. Have yo uchecked codes yet? Turn the key from off to the on position ( not cranking) 3 times ending in the on position. Codes will read off in the odometer screen.

ok i have checked and there are no codes at all. and the problem is getting worse at idle it seems like its going to die when i come to a stop and sometimes when backing up slow. this is driving me crazy.

did i make a mistake buying one of these trucks i have never had anything like this with any of my powerstroke trucks.

Well.......need to get some more info. Do you have any guages? Need to look at lift pump pressure first. Have you changed any of the filters recently? I'd try a new fuel filter if you don't have any access to a guage.
