Can Bad LIFT pump throw P2509 codes?
STill having problems w/2004.5 2500 no mods only 47k of highway miles no towing. Changed fuel filter and batteries and still dying at speed or idle when engine warms up. Pretty much at wits end and doesn't look good for any future dodges. Can the lift pump be bad causing engine to stop immediatly and throw p2509 code?
FWIW this is a very dangerous condition on steep narrow twisty roads

That code does not typically contribute to lift pump failure. I recommend you remove and clean each of the battery cable ends including the battery terminals. This also applies to the grounds that connect to the body and frame, Use a wire brush or battery terminal cleaning brush to clean them up. Have you had the batteries load tested?
I have attached the diagnostic literature regarding the P2509 fault code.

A faulty ignition switch could also be something to look at as well. Losing power to the ECM/PCM (P2509) does sound like a very dangerous thing anytime the vehicle is in motion, not to mention you stated on very twisty roads .

Thanks for replies, Will reclean/clean all the terminals. engine will die only when warmed up moving or not. With key on engine off the lift pump seems to operate ever 20 seconds or so. Not sure thats normal. Tried jiggling the igniton key when idling and doesn't seem to affect engine. Had to remove some material between battery cable lugs they clamp on otherwise impossible to tighten. Had batteries replaced yesterday and died all the way the way home.
The loss of control due to this problem has been brought to the attention of chysler/dodge headquarters and is a MAjor safety issue. With sudden loss of power and brakes truck is almost uncontrollable.

Have you tried removing the Quad box and setting the truck back to stock to see if the problem still persists?

It is very intermittent and ONLY when fully warmed up. Starts ups and runs fine for up to 1 minute (one very hairy minute i might add) and truck goes absolutely dead. Again. If at 50 or so momentum will restart engine. Worse going downhill. Fan clutch? MAy have it towed to dealer as this old body can't take much more stress. Way past deadsticking in.
Not what i expected for what this things cost. You would think dodge would be all over a dangerous vehicle that IMHO could result in multiple fatalities. Maybe our over zealous CA nanny govt might get involved. Hear from locals this isn't an isolated problem.

I wouldn't call it anything remotely close to being "Not an isolated problem". Yours is maybe the second one I've heard of doing this in the 6yrs or so I've been a member here. My Patriot had a faulty CPS that wouldn't throw codes until nearly a year and 8-10 trips to the dealer after it started. I submitted a report to the NHTSA about our Patriot and updated it as needed, I suggest you do the same. You can also search their database for similar complaints.

Quadbox: A computer module to increase HP/TQ. They probably assumed you had some type of mod which should be ruled out as a cause before anything else.

To the OP....I goofed....I accidentally saw anothers signature and mistakenly thought it was yours. I now re-read it to find that you do not have any mods much less a Quadzilla box.....sorry for the mistake.
