Buyback

Short story. Started around August. Took to dealer 2 times before they agreed to replace an injector. Got truck back and took trip. Fuel all alongside the drivers dise. Checked the fuel lines and finished trip. In the meantime got many CEL "Fuel delivery problem". Wen away for Labor day and truck died on a hill, more black smoke than I had ever seen. Finally ggot ruck fired and made it home. Was in the dealers from Tuesday after Labor day to Friday 9/21. Replaced injector pump. Then said wiring harness was bad. Found that the fuel filter sensor was leainkg into the wires. Got truck back late Friday and on the way home CEL again. Left Saturday for a weekend trip. Would not go over 25mph on a small hill. Seemed to run a little better as the day went on. Got back home OK, still didn't have the power. Left this morning to drop trailer off for warranty work and same thing. Back at dealer now. Am going to try and get them to buyback the truck.

I do notice when trying to climb any hills usally boost will not go over 20PSI.

Any help?

Thanks,

Went to the dealer last night. Am going to talk to the district rep next week.

Thanks for the replies. Hopefully I won't have to go the coundel route.

Make sure to have someone proofread and edit all of your communications. Doing this will add credibility to your claim.

Everything went great. Got a call that they were taking back my truck. Told dealer i found one that I wanted. Next day they went and picked it up. Got the same color and everything. Only difference is it is a 6.7 with manual, light package, and electric rear window. The difference was $2200+ because of the mileage. Truck was approx $900 more because of the 6.7. They credited me for the exhaust brake, gauges, exhaust, fifth wheel hitch and linex. All said and done will be getting a check back for $1800+.

I have approx 3000 miles on it so far. No problems and getting 14 - 15 mpg. No long trips yet. Am anxious to pull my trailer with it. First manual I have had in a long time. Enjoy starting in 2nd then going to 4th, 6th. Or 3rd, 5th, 6th. My only complaint is it is soooooooooo quiet. Can't even tell it is a diesel.

I was told that my truck will be going to auction. Hopefully who ever buys it won't have many problems.
