Burns oil??

OK with out controller on truck. My truck burns about 1 quart every 500 miles. I did the tea kettle test with a hot motor
Could it be a valve adjustment. What should I be looking for. Truck has tons of power
Thx dave

Well, the oil is going somewhere! If isn't a leak, you're burning it. I assume you have not detected oil in the water or visa/versa. Sounds like it's time for a leak down test.

x2 on leak down test.

Is any oil going out the breather tube? External leaks?

Lot of blue smoke when first starting on a cold morning?

Look at pcv and breathers. 1 quart every 500 is extremely excessive...
