Brake squeal like a pig

Brake squeal like a pig
My left front brake squeal's like a arrow through a pig,I have turn the rotor lightly and sanded the pads just enough to remove the glaze, and this worked for about 100 or so miles, and then one day that little ole piggy started squealing to beat the band. This time I lightly sanded the rotor again and removed the glaze again fron the pads with 40,000 miles hardly any wear at all.And removed the slider and re-applied a light coat of brake grease again and after a few miles it's bacccck.Drat, talked with my Dodge dealer and they say this OEM pad will do it always, but Mopar has a new pad out that will fix this issue. Now what????

There's really notyhing wrong with your brakes or any of the parts. The problem is in the assembly.
Disc brake squeal is caused by the pad vibrating in the caliper. That's why it changes with pedal pressure. It's usually the outboard pad, since that's the one not associated with a piston. Fortunatly, the fix is pretty simple.
Remove the caliper and the outboard pad. Clean the contact points well with brake parts cleaner. If needed, don't be afraid to use a wire brush.
Reassemble using some Permatex Disc Brake Anti-Squeal (blue goo). Let it sit until the glue dries. That usually fixes the problem.
The new pads that don't squeal are the same as the old pads, but they have a differant backing.

Reviving an old thread...
I have the same "squealing pig" on the left front brake of my 07 3500 Mega with 103k. Slight pressure on the pedal kills it for a bit. It has come and gone after doing everything listed below. Now it's back.
I've done everything- replaced pads, rotors, and did a variant of the grease job boB mentioned. I have noticed the left wheel seems a bit tighter rotating than the right. But it's a 4x4 so I figured that might be related to the gearing.
Only thing I have not replaced is the lines and rotor.
Any other thoughts out there to help kill the pig for good?
Thanks all.
