BOMBed my Valve Cover
I decided to make my stock valve cover more presentable by pitching the plastic cover and smoothing 'er out. Check it out: http://www.turbodieselregister.com/u...5&albumid=1057
While I was at it I added an ATS manfiold painted with silver exhaust manifold paint as well as the Piers BOMBer-Lite ("Fred") turbo.

Very well Borush, it's smooth and responsive and it fattened up the midrange. A nice improvement in passing power
Tooling around town off-idle response seems better too. I am very pleased with it.
Piers is doing more Bomber Lites and bought some 3G turbos now so he can send one directly to customers instead of you sending yours in to be modified.
Gary I had an '01 ATS too but it won't just bolt up. A couple guys I heard did it but had to hack together their own downpile and pipe to the intercooler. More hassle than I wanted to deal with!

Vaughn - can you tell me what the manifold does for the truckplease? I went tot the site but there was no price info? Also have you heard of a better turbo? I hear around a lot of CTD owners there are better turbos but there are adaptations that need to be made. Mt truck only has 3k miles on it but I want it stronger. I have an EZ box and straight pipe which both help a bunch but I have access to discounted truck turbos and would love to benefit from a good setup. I have a mill and lathe and can fabricate although I am no machinist I can "play"

ppsi it helps with breathing at higher HP levels although I think there is a little benefit at stock power in that part throttle response is improved. On the back 3 cylinders it improves the exhaust routing quite a bit.
Scotty the valve cover was good for at least 3hp! Without the plastic cover on there the air slides through the grille and across the engine more smoothly Hey I tried to email you but it came back as undeliverable, shoot me one at sixshift@charter.net
DodgeDude don't mistake that for Reynold's foil, nooo, that is some special thermal photon-redirecting foil to keep the inlet air cool. I put it there because the stock heat shield doesn't fit in the ATS manifold
