BMK11 Bypass?

I'm finding references to BKM-11 on this forum, but not on the Amsoil site. Has BKM-21 replaced the 11 or what am I missing?

I'm looking for a low-cost, easy installing add-on bypass to fit my 06.

Thanx.

Related questions: Looks like three filter elements fit it. Is there an obvious best choice?

Buy this from Amsoil online or are there better deals out there?

depends where you mount it. if you have it on a bracket on the side of the engine like me- only the the smallest of the bypass filters will fit. if you mount it down on the frame rail,etc- then going with the biggest filter is your best choice. amsoil recently redesigned their bypass filter set up-so the part numbers have changed. here is my set up

I installed the BMK-11 on my truck, it is a single filter. I made a bracket and mounted mine on the firewall on the pass side. I am using the mid-size filter and it is doing a great job.

I believe in the past there were problems with the dual filters, something about low oil pressure, maybe even setting off a code. I also believe they have re-designed the dual setup, oil pressure problem resolved?? So, you maybe can use it. Someone will know that answer I'm sure, but the single unit does the job just fine.

Based on the oil capacity of the Cummins being between 9 and 15 quarts (12 quarts normally), Amsoil recommends the #100 size bypass filter. That is the middle size of the three that they offer. The BMK 21 is the replacement for the BMK 11 and I am told that it has some improvements over the old number.

Not a dealer, but am a preferred customer. If your interested in any Amsoil products I highly recommend this. Its on their site and only like 20/year. I made up for that with my savings in the 12 courts of oil and filter on my first change. Doesnt hurt that I use thier two stroke oil, trans fluid, oil for cars and trucks. Check it out on their site.
