Blue smoke

I've notice alot of blue smoke coming from the exhaust this is occuring when temps are below 40. It happens for the first 3-5 minutes of driving, Ido let it warm up for about five to ten minutes along with it being pluged in for three hours prior. It also happens after its been warmed up and I stop at a long light I see it when I take off. The truck only has 2800 miles on it is this normal? My first Deisel and lovin it. Thanks!!!

Completely normal, I know mine smokes when it's cold, but in warm weather you'd think it was a gasser, hardly any smoke whatsoever. -Steve

Hmmm I guess I am the odd one. Hardly any smoke even cold. A bit of white yes but no blue. Now if you wanna talk about my Passat......
