Yep, I see the Obamanation has done a great job convincing the average American about the "evils of big business". Don't worry all, big brother will take care of us real soon and do away with those mean old big business companies that provide jobs, products and services to Americans. Thank goodness no one here has a job with a company. By they way, why is there all this talk about "screwing the dealer?" Did anyone read Hounddogs post? The way it works is, the dealer evaluates the vehicle and sends the a report of a claim to the MANUFACTURER (this case it would be Dodge). The manufacturer decides if it is a warranty issue or the fault of the customer and then makes a decision to pay for it or not. The dealer won't pay out of pocket for service work unless they were at fault. For example, they messed up a brake job and it had to be redone they will pay for it. If they do the work on the truck either the customer or the manufacturer will pay the bill or they won't do it. One way or another the dealer gets paid. The second question, why do some of you shy away from calling out theft. Don't put this disclaimer, "I don't mean to sound moralistic but...". The fact is when you make a conscious effort to cheat some one (in this case the manufacturer not the dealer) you are stealing. Sorry, no matter if you were a preacher, a serviceman, a convicted felon, or an alter boy. Call it like it is.

another example, I lost a u-joint on the front axle so while performing warranty work they beat the crap out of the HUB bearing and called me to inform me that I would have to pay for that as hub bearings aren't covered on the 4X4's. They only wanted a little over 600.00 to put the new one on. Good deal huh? Well I said no way and started blowing up chryslers customer service line and then finally the regional manager. Eventually they replaced it as the regional manager stated this " sir, out of good faith we will take care of this one incident" are you kidding me?? the hub was fine until the guy beat it to death. and my long point is, if the customer wouldn't have stood up like I did, they would have paid for it and Chrysler would have never known.
Anyway, again there a a ton of variables so call it what it is.
Merry Christmas to all

Yeah the dealer evaluates the vehicle and calls the manufacture. The manufacturer asks the dealer if the windshield is cracked in a attempt to deny the claim. The dealer then somehow offers good will on the $1200 injector control module if I pay for a new windshield. Give me a break. Every situation is different as well as the motives influencing the outcome.
BTW still upset about Obama winning? Get over it. I didn't vote for him anyway but that's got nothing to do with wide spread a corruption in all aspects of our society these days. Get what you can and cover your butt just like the big boys do.
