blown CP3 freeze plug?

Ok I have heard of this happening but where are the freeze plugs? My CP3 is leaking fuel bad and it is not coming from any of the fittings. Does anybody have any pictures as to where the freeze plugs are and what do you do if you blew a freeze plug? I also did get a DTC of high rail pressure, so something is blown I just need to figure out what. If not the freeze plug is there somewhere else that could have blown to cause that much diesel to pour out?

They normaly leak between the two halves. There was a seal issue that was supposedly sorted out. Cold weather makes it 10 times an issue. DTC for high rail pressure. It could be the FCA valve on the CP3 causing the issue or the rail pressure sensor is on it's way out. Put a rail pressure gauge on it and see what it is running at idle. Should be between 6-7K range at idle. Your MP-8 could also be the culprit. Take it off and see if the code returns.

I'm sure the MP-8 has something to do with it. I cant even drive it, fuel is just pouring from the pump and it seems to be coming from the underside but I cannot see under there. I think I am going to remove the pump tomorrow and go from there, it could be the two halfs leaking, its just a lot of fuel

If it is leaking between the two halves do a search. A guy on here rebuilt his with a new seal and he had the part number on the thread for it. Or, send it to John at Floor it and have it rebuilt/upgraded at the same time.
