blk dually: what was wrong with your engine ?

OK, guys. Lets let blk dually talk about his engine in this post without ANY judgement about whether he should or shouldn't have gotten warranty. I'd just like to know what failed and why.

Was the broken rod the result of something else, like a piston or did the bottom end fail or what ?

Any chance your crankcase filled with fuel ?

I am dying to know.

If my STOCK $40K truck lost a motor it had better have been fixed a long time ago, or I would be screaming!!!

Hey Superduty

Okay heres the goods on my engine failure ,after asking Chrysler dealer to disassemble and inspect at my expense I was DENIED and had to tow the truck to a independed diesel shop who was also cert.Cummins guy the motor torn down call Chrysler dealer to show them the out come, their reply NOT INTERESTED ..Continued the overhaul then I paid out Over $15000.00 for the repair filed for arbitration showed the failure and all componts even said that I had a performance box on the truck can't lie under oth. after a week I was called by arbitration and was awarded all my money back and recieved the cheque the other day O YEAH!!!

So there sorry Superduty your as bad as damlier Chrysler maybe you should have all the facts and do a proper inspection before you start blabben I know we all make mistakes and its not a perfect world but these forums should be hear to help us not raggin on I got a wife for that !! haha
