K&N filters are junk on turbo'd motors, stick with the OEM 4".

I put smarty back to stock and I'm still smoking. I'm going to put it on one more good drive and see what happens then.

I'll take a guess here, that you don't have a Boost Gauge. If you did, you would probably see you don't have the boost pressure you had before the 93k mile marker. Check for loose or torn boots. Also check your inter-cooler. Was it the '06 or the '05 that had the plastic inter-coolers that blew the ends off fairly consistently?
Back to morning brew . . .

Ok.. So I'm looking at the intercooler and it's connections. Everything looks to be connected securely. What's an easy way to check for leaks. I'll agree that I probably don't get the same boost pressure Plus i don't hear my turbo as loud as before. Any specific boost gauge you recommend? I'm considering getting one, also should I get any other gauges?

I knew he didn't just adjust the tire height...

Ha! You're working w/ a very dim bulb when you're discussing troubleshooting w/ me. So should I just take it to the dealership for them to look at it? I'm smoking regardless of having the smarty jr. on there. Sort of the bad thing to have such a high end vehicle and not be very mechanically inclined.

Be sure that you take the jr off before you take it in. I`d get the dealer to look at it while it`s under warranty but my 06 smokes stock or with jr.

well that's what's happening right now and I guess I'm ok spending the $100 for them to say deal w/ it. At least it would make me feel better.
