BJs W/O removing the hub.

BJs W/O removing the hub.
Yeah...that would be BALL JOINTS!
I made a tool that will/should (theoretically) press out/in my ball joints with out having to remove all the crap up to and including the hubs.Knowing that the bj presses into the axle yoke and then taper fits into the hub, would this work? Has anyone else attempted it this way with either good or disasterous results?I am thinking that my biggest problem will be trying to figure out a way to get the dust boot in.
This is a 2003 Ram3500 4X4 Diesel quad cab short box.1/2* offset balljoints.Just the uppers.

Not gonna happen, my friend. The axle shaft is in the way #1 and #2 ) even with the proper ball joint press, I had to lower the truck off the hoist onto a block to get the top one to push out! There's a lot of hammer swingin' involved too. Optimistic thinking, though! I like that! Sometimes you have to think outside the box! I wish I were wrong, but I've done enough of those ball joints to not even try it. Just my $.02

Puller?......for what? The bearing? Do a search for hub bearing removal using the power steering! Way simpler! Even with a large puller, there is still a chance of screwing up the hub bearing. Using the 4 bolts that hold the hub to the spindle, back them out all but 4 -5 threads ( I have a set of bolts I bought, just for this purpose! ) then use a socket and an extension to push up against the snout of the axle housing to push the bearing out with the power steering of the truck. Basically using the truck as a press!
