Bilstein 5100s

I' wanting to get these for my truck and then down the road build up my suspension w/ springs, links, mini-pacs,.....
My question is do Carli, Thuren, Kore, Lorenz use the 0-2.5" (6681-H6) or the 3" (6646-H6) for their leveling kits. Most state a 2.5-3" lift over stock. I know that Carli's says 2.75".

The reason I am asking is because of bilsteins sale, "buy 3 get 1 free sale" which does not include the 6681s (go figure), but does the 6646s.

Will the 6646s (3") work on a stock ride height truck until the springs are added?

Thanks for the help.

With ~3in taller coil springs most are running a 10in travel shock up front. I assume the 6646s are 10in travel? You might be ok until you add springs but at stock ride height with longer travel shocks compressed into a smaller space i would be concerned that you might bottom out the shocks before getting to the bump stops....

Bradler,

Thanks for the reply. That is what I was thinking, but might try it since they will only be like that for a short time.

Anyone with one of the leveling kits mentioned above have their 5100 part #?

Fisherguy thanks for the response. So I assume you used the 6681s to do your leveling with spacers and are not running new springs? Thanks for the help.

Fisherguy,

Thanks. Hope she rides and looks better than before. Any improvement in mine would be great. Do you mind letting me know how you got the Kore spacers seperately?

Anybody else with the Kore/Carli/Lorenz systems know what 5100s came in your kit?

It will look better but will ride the same, but I'm willing to accept that, I knew what I was getting myself into when I bought a 1 ton.

It just didn't make sense to me to spend the money on a nice soft spring set for the front and have the 1 ton with overloads and air bags on the rear, plus I'm getting new 35" E rated tires and gotta pick my spots.

If I was going to do anything I'd like to get something like the Lorenz 2.25 kit with the full leaves on the back, but that's $3000 or so and you still need a track bar and steering stabilizer.

When I was undecided to go with springs or spacers I posted a poll on here and on CF and a guy at CF offered to sell me his old ones at a great price, thanks Spankdog!
