I haven't spec'ed out the Baldwin oil filters but I do know they make a good 5 micron fuel filter for our trucks. At this time I use the Fleetguard Stratapore oil filter and it works well, that and Dodge can't complain about me using it for if I ever need warranty work.

Guy at Carquest auto parts told me that their brand of oil filter is actually made by Wix, anyone know if thats true? I went in to see if they had Fleetguard and he told me that they have Wix filters and then brought over a filter with the Carquest name on it

X2. Have used them since day one. Used to use Fram on my old car I had and was thinking about brand loyalty but saw the TSB on using the Fram's and changed my mind. And I do the under truck changing also. I can usually get it out without spilling any down my arm.

NAPA 7620 in mine. $4.14 after a cash discount on my mechanics account. Not to discount any previous post in this thread, but I'd love to see Cummins pay for a new engine after an oil-related failure using a Fleetgard. If you thought the dealerships were bad trying to get warranty work done... imagine trying prove to Cummins that the filter caused the failure...

Yes, Carquest brand filters are made by Wix. Many say wix if you look on the bottom of the box.

I'm 99% sure that the Wix5-NapaGold-7620XE is a repaint of of the Fleetguard Stratapore LF16035.

K&N Oil Filters in all of my cars.

If they don't have it in stock then I get a Mobil 1 filter.
