My mpg sucked too. 13-15. Then change to 5-40 Rotella "synthetic", and also put xzt "tow and mpg box" on and did my best yet. Dogged it a lot too. 630 miles on 34.5 gallons. I guess the combination of two ? made it better. Don't know, am just glad it did.

Who makes the mpg box. Have you towed anything with that combo?

I have the quad xzt tow box . I have only had it on for that one tank, but I pulled my gooseneck horse tr. with it to test it out and it does great. Towed it last nite across a local winding mnt road. Really like it. However, now I have the power bug and have a new quad race box to put on. I would recommend it. Do a search on xzt module and read all about it. I may sell mine if the race box gets same mpg on 60 hp setting. I went ahead and got the commander with all the guages and pillar mount. If you want to just tow and get more mpg I would recommend it. One reason I got it is the response quad and these guys (DTR) gives to questions and service. Good luck PM me if you want and I'll answer what little I know about it.
