It is possible they knew and just wanted to get me for as much as they could. Wouldn't really surprise me. Lots of unscrupulous people out there.

AMEN!

PS, the best CRD is a 04.5 because of the piston cooling feature, and because I have one!

Piston cooling feature? Is this where the oil jet is sprayed onto the bottom of the piston?

Piston cooling. It's only on HO's that I know of. There's thread on here somewhere about the differences between a HO an SO, that was definitely one of them I can remember.

I vote the 03/04. I've had two SO trucks. My 5 speed was constantly over 20-22+ mpg, even when I had it putting out over 500 rwhp. It was a fun truck to drive and economical. I read most of the newer trucks don't get quite as good mileage but there are still quite a few getting 20+.

So many say you need a HO to get power, nah. Sure put a smarty on and you're looking at 450+ to the wheels, but I kept up with a smarty'd truck with a PPE/TST stack.

I've had both an 05 and now my 07. The only problems I had on the 05 were problems that I caused. The only reason I traded it in is because I came across a good deal on my 07 5.9, and I wanted an 07 5.9 with a G56 while I could get one. I hear they're pretty hard to find now
