Baja 1000_8 CTD racing
I have an inside source telling me 8 3rd Gen Dodge diesals are running in the (I think)stock class. A few Hemis are running too.
Anyone here know who is winning or the status. My source tells me that a couple of H2's running are the fastest and may win the class?

Took a quick look last night but had to bail before I found anything. I do know there is at least one Dodge Hemi in Class 8. Don't think there are many diesels running this year. Carli's truck didn't make it, Donahoe isn't racing their Powerjoke, and I'm pretty sure Kroeker's truck is a HEMI.

Glen Greer is racing his #810 Dodge in Class 8.
Kent Kroeker and his #867 Dodge is racing Stock Full
Loren Worthington is racing #861 in Stock Full, but I'm not sure he's racing his Dodge CTD. Last I heard he rolled it and wouldn't be in a new ride until next year.
But there are only 12 entries in Stock Full so I doubt 8 of them are Cummins powered Rams.

Thanks for the link and info, I was looking for that.
My source should be accurate on the qty of CTD as he was kinda shocked that there was so many and he talked to Sage Monday in Mex who is supporting a truck from Canada I think??? but not racing his own???
If true and 8 or several CTD are racing thats quite interesting. I talked to another racer about 4 months ago who was puting a stock cab and chassis rear axle into his stock class truck. Racing a stock rear 11.5 axle same as the one I run daily! Thats interesting!

Next year I'm going to the race. I think I'll start a thread about it here in the summer and see if we can get a group together to go. Maybe Sage could use some more people for his support team.

I am more interested in a Ca , Nev or Az race. I kinda got my fill of Mexico over the years.
I went to a Score Fireworks 250 back in about 93 or so. It was 12 laps 60 miles each lap, one of the last races with all of the biggest names. This was one season before Trophy truck class and kinda spoiled me for racing.
I like lots of laps.

I spent some time talking to the Rpm crew at their rental house in Punta Banda before the race. They had 3 diesels prepped to run in stock full. They rolled one on the hiway during a pre run outing. They are running an in house designed shock.....5.5 inches.I saw the Hrt team but didn't get a chance to meet them.
The Greer bros truck was hauling ... but it was a gasser.

According to IRC (International Racing Consultants) #867 Team KORE (Malcolm Smith/Kent Kroker) are between RM 870 and 875 and have not moved all day. My guess is that they are broke down and out of the race.......waiting for a tow. Google "race the world" and follow other racers.
