Bad Injector, Good Experience

My wife called me last week to say the oil pressure dropped at idle and dash warning lights were on. I told her to pull over and shut down, then look under the truck (maybe she ran over a horse or something). Oil was dripping off fron AND rear axles and everything in between. Needless to say, the crankcase was fill of the oil/diesel mix we all dread, and blew out the breather. I grabbed the flat bet and pulled her to the dealer as the odometer only reads 42,000 and I'm not touching it until 100K. Dealer called, said there was sand in the fuel filter, and the injector stuck open (there was no rough running except at idle). They said the parts needed to be ordered, but they would replace all six under warranty, the only expense for me was the oil, oil filter, and fuel filter (not bad). A couple days later, all new parts, $200 or so from my wallet and the truck runs better than new. If anyone is in the upstate NY area, Clifton Park Dodge World did a great job, timely manner, and great customer relations----they just earned a new customer as the dealer I purchased the truck from told me they might be able to look at the truck in a couple days.

I know the dealer and they gave me a good deal on some parts I needed before for one of my older trucks. Nice people.

Had a similar good experience with a local dealer 15 mins away. they looked at it and i brought it in by the end of the next week. truck was still good and drivable so it didn't need done Asap. likely had 1 or 2 worn injectors but they did all 6 under wartanty (got 52k miles on) fixed my ideling problem
Did they take your fuel tank out and flush it? they did on mine, said there was hardly any crap in there though. so i got dinged for that and put in a new FF and i was off.

no fuel tank flush, just the filter change. I had them flush the trans fluid after they got it back together since it was already there and camper season is right around the corner
