My 17x8.5 Centerlines are "rated" at 3200 lbs (and have a 6" BS). But they test them with worst case 44" tires. Tire size matters due to leverage effects so the rating with real tires is higher.

Now divide by 2 because you have 2 wheels.

I think the OE wheels are right at 3500-3600 lbs and this one reason why paying attention to GCVWR is important. Yes, the truck can pull it but putting 10k on the rear axle is a recipe for disaster.

I think you are going to have to go to a 20" rim to get decent backspacing and offset with weith capacity in 35" tire.

Both Weld and Centerline make wheels in 20x9 that should be adequate in weight, offset, backspace, etc, but, they are $300-500 per wheel. The 315\60\20 Toyo is rated at decent weight.

The 18" wheels and tires are not that great unless you have a gasser and what the wheels sticking out too far.

Still think the 17" offerings are the best value, but, I am after functional not bling.

Wheels are tough. Most of them stick way out and will be bad for your steering geometry, steering box, ball joints, and front hubs, and can rub on the rear lower outer part of the fender well with 35s.

Your best bet is to visit a tire store and have them mount up something you're serious about and see it on the truck. Of course, they need to be willing to take it off if it doesn't suit you.

Obviously I know that....

My Dura's were rated at 4900 each (I think...) and I am more concerned overloading a tire than overloading a wheel. I think my new rims are rated at 3600 each. I have never broken a wheel, but I have exploded tires due to too much weight and too little air. That's also the reason I won't hesitate to run 10lbs more air than maximum on any of my tires.

I have Moto Metal Skulls in 18x9 with +18 offset.

There have been a lot of skulls with cracking.... I have loaded mine really heavy and seen no cracks. They have a lifetime warranty, but still if mine crack I'm getting rid of them.

Those aren't too bad. Backspacing is only off 1/2 inch so they should not be out to far. The only issue I have with them is they are not hub-centric. I would not push the weight limits with them.

yep. They got the perfect amount of black and shiney. i was a bit worried about not being hub-centric but i really dont haul much so thought it be ok. Or should go Hub-centric

These look promising, they are hub centric with a decent load rating and backspace.

I have not ever tried them, but have you considered spacers on the stock wheels?

Stock wheels work fine with 35x12.50 tire and a level kit. No reason to use them. It the lack of backspacing that cause issues with aftermarket rims.
