Anyone seen these issues?

I noticed a strong diesel smell when I got home from work today, check engine light came on for a fuel pressure issue. The undercarrige and rear end of the truck is covered with fuel, it's coming out of what looks like possibly a breather or vent on the low drivers side of the motor, kind of below the fuel filter housing. Idles rough, blows smoke, and looses oil pressure at idle. One Guy at the dealer thought it may be a cracked injector, but I can't see how that would affect oil pressure. Any of you guys seen this before?

Yes it is an injector that has gone south. By the look at your mods the Banks kit had something to do with it because it adds pressure. Do not drive it like this at all. Will have to take your mods off if you are still under warranty to take it to the dealer. If not under warranty this a good time to upgrade to some aftermarket injectors from DonM.

the added fuel in the oil will dilute the oil and also give higher than normal oil pressure readings. i second what bdewey said about dc the banks and do not drive it. the diesel/oil mix is very hard on bearing and what not

I was thinking it may have been from a slightly larger that normal shot of LPG that it just got!
It's at the shop already, I don't have to worry about warranty coverage thank God, they take real good care of me. I hope you guys are right, injectors and an oil change sounds like good news right now! I'd go aftermarket but just don't feel like dropping the $$ on them!

once one goes there will be others that follow if you keep the same mods until you upgrade with aftermarket injectors.

What's the scoop on aftermarket injectors? I'm assuming I should replace the entire injector, but would just replacement nozzles fix the problem? I was looking at the F1's, but I'm not real up to date on injector options.

Nozzles will do just fine unless you decide to mod heavily. IMO, I would buy the whole injector.

When using F1 you have to take your injectors out and ship them to them where they put new tips on rebuild them to standard. They also pop test them to make sure that they open up at the correct p.s.i and don't leak.

F1 is top notch IMO. DonM is a frequent on the board so hes the man to ask injector questions to.

I didn't realize I'd have to send them out, maybe I'll have to look at other brands.

These tips are so expensive that just about every company wants your cores. DonM is the man when it comes to injectors. They aren't cheap though no matter whose you get.....
