Anyone see the Cummins PowerWagon?
Cool story in Diesel Power about a guy who bought a new PW and then a Cummins with three miles on it and converted it into the PW. Very neat story.
I wish they would have had pictures of the totaled Cummins wich was reported to have fell of the transport truck!?? How do you do that?

One reason they don't is that the winch they put on the power wagons from the factory won't fit with an intercooler. The article shows the aftermarket bumper they put on that truck. It looks great, but the article didn't mention the fact that the stock power wagon winch and the stock diesel intercooler can't coexist in the same truck in their stock locations.

I did not see anything in the article about how the Cummins fit over top of the tracrite. One thing I was told by a dodge tech was one of the reasons the PW wasnt offered w/ cummins was the tracrite had a different carrier than the reg. 9.25 AAM and it wouldnt fit.

Hmm, I dunno about the tracrite fitting with the cummins. On the bumper, it wouldn't be as easy as it sounds. Sure, they could make a bumper work, or even put aftermarket bumpers on there. The problem is that they have to crash certify everything like that. How does the airbag system work with the new bumper? Does it respond appropriately, or does it need to be fine-tuned? Are big steel bumpers even legal as original equipment? See what I mean? The oem's have to jump through a lot of hoops that the aftermarket manufacturers don't.

I think an Eaton will fit the front (with grinding)
But no locker for the rear. Just that limited-slip from the factory.

I just watched a hunting show on the outdoor channel, it was sponsored by Dodge. Think the show was called Outdoor Adventures. The guy was driving a white 4 door power wagon with cummins badges. The tailgate had a big power wagon emblem across the middle, and had the cummins C on the front fenders and one on the tailgate.
