Anyone running Lucus and powerservice?
I was just re reading a study conducted over on the Chevy site about fuel additives. I have always used Lucus and Power Service grey bottle mixed. Really makes the idle smooth as glass and fuel economy a tad better. Both of these products did not fare so well in the test. ANyone else using it???

I make my own premium diesel fuel. I mix 4 oz of power service and 4 oz of mmo for every 10 gallons of fuel.
I know it works for me. Truck runs better, smoother, and better fuel economy by 1 mile per gallon. I get 11.4 mpg when I pull my 5er and 19-20 mpg when not pulling.
I do not know about the chevy site study, but to get good results you must run the test many times.

Lucus here, but I changed over to PFFP,alot cheaper, about 5 bucks and treats up to 250 gallons.
I can honestly say in a big truck I got about 2mpg better with it,that was in a Cat running at 600hp.
Here is a link I found,http://roundtable.truck.net/viiewt.php?p=5273,I still say the best test is to ask some drivers what works for them.

I've been using lucas in everything I own as a fuel additive, I won't be though after ready that report. Now I can say that most of lucas oil products are snake oil. Trans additive kept my sloppy e4od in my psd together however.

I've read the report and noticed that 2-cycle oil did well, yet my 2006 does not like 2 cycle oil at all and I wind up with sticking injectors even if I only use 16 oz per tank. In my truck when I do use Lucas I get better fuel mileage and I also see better gas mileage in my wife’s car so its not easy to give up the extra 1-2 mpg I get from using Lucas.
My self I would like to see two or more companies test all of the same products to see if they can get the same results as the first test. Then if they get the same results then a person could make a decision on what to use in their fuel.
Oh as to the question about mixing PS and Lucas, I just tried it a few days ago and I saw my overhead mileage drop 1.2 mpg on the way home. BTW, I mixed 6 oz of PS in the white jug and 6 oz Lucas. Of course I will not be 100% sure about the fuel mileage until I refill the tank and Calculate it by hand.
