anyone race a 6.0 or duramax? any drag times?

I drove all three prior to my purchase, my seat-of the-pants meter told me the LLY Duramax was the quickest from a dead stop, the 325/600 Dodge was a distant second, and the 6.0 Powerstroke was close behind the Dodge. Bought the Dodge anyway, I got this truck to tow, not drag race. It's got plenty of power for the stoplight grand prix, but there's better choices than any of these trucks if drag racing's your priority. Besides, 50-70 mph roll-ons were a completely different story, the Dodge felt a lot stronger than the other two.

I was at a red light just north of Austin @ grand ave pkwy/IH-35. I had a kodak moment w/ a 7.3phord on the left and a dmax on the right, they were buds, I think, racing/ talking/holding up traffic. They stopped @ yellow light so they could run um from a dead stop. I was directly behind the chivy, they both had exhaust and fuel mods, exactly what, I dont know. I put the banks on level 6 and hoped for the best. I didn't stall it because I didn't know if the chivy could get out of my way, they both stalled theirs, smoke everywhere. (wish I could smoke) The 7.3 was pretty quick, left the chivy, I pulled over to pass the chivy and got back in the right lane to pass the phord. Believe it or not I did, smoked them both from a **** poor take off. Both trucks were 4X4s. If it had been a three lane feeder road it would have been a true CTD kodak moment. Made me feel pretty good considering I had just had 2 losses to (luckily) 2 other ctd's. I would love to think we were all evenly modified, I just dont know. I do have a bud w/ 04 6.0 psd 4X4 no mods, if I put mine on level 1(stock)but I do have air/exhaust mods. He never gets close, I cant wait till he gets mods so I can hand him his azz fair and square. I drove all 3 trucks when I bought this 1, I Was looking for a hot rod and as much as I didn't wan't to leave the other side (gas/ford) I had to buy this much faster w/a much smaller back seat CTD, and I'll never go back...

...only trapping at 81 mph should not be leaving a duramax or even a 6.0 with a box. These trucks with basic tuners will trap in the 90s without breaking a sweat. Just a quad 110 on an allison truck usually yields low 15s high 14s, This is heavily documented, you guys have nice trucks, but we must be realistic about this, the CTD can pull a house, but a screamer it is not, at least none that I have seen. Of course there are fast ones, but they have a silly amount of $$ invested.

I've said this before,,
With just an Edge Hot Juice, and a Bully Dog "Pup" (150HP) a customer of mine in his '01 reg. cab long bed, 2wd, 6-speed. Runing my slicks, ran a 13.18 @ 109MPH.
That's less than $1,500 invested. He is runing Stock Everything, all the way from injectors, to turbo, to even the clutch.
Can it pull? Yes it does, pulls with the best of them. Doesn't pull as well as a Cummins with the same HP, but he has no trouble passing whatever he wants when towing friends vehicles.
