Anyone install transmission governor pressure solenoid and transducer themselves?

After reading some posts here I'm thinking my truck is suffering from a bad
transmission governor pressure solenoid.
I'm getting gear hunting from 1st to 2nd under very light throttle.
I figure I might as well replace the transducer at the same time.
I know there is a TSB for it but my truck is out of warranty.
I would like to replace these parts myself, if possible, to avoid a costly trip to the Dodge dealership.
So for those that might have do this job themselves how difficult is it?
I understand the tranny pan has to be dropped which no big deal, but how about getting the old parts out, and the new ones back in?
It looks to be just a matter of unbolting and unplugging the transducer and solenoid and installing the new ones?
Is there any other adjustments that need to be done while the tranny pan is off?
Do the truck's batteries need to be disconnected to reset the tranny or engine controller?
I haven't checked for any codes yet but if the solenoid cause a code can I also reset it or do I need to take the truck to the dealer?

Thanks for any info or advice.

#1The code will go away after the problem is fixed, if there is even a code. #2 Some of the problems you talked about could be resolved by a re-flash with updated infor for the pcm. I know there is one for the 1-2 shuttle shift.
#3 If you can drop the pan, you can change those parts! I think it requires a T-25 torx and a 7/16 socket after the pan is removed. There is a small "body" that bolts to the valve body. Remove it, and the parts are pretty self explanitory as to how to replace them once you have that separate piece off. Go ahead and replace the filter while you are in there too. Can't hurt!?
