Went to have my oil changed today. The shop I took it to had a good sale going on Castrol products and I decided to try The new Tection. Never heard of it, but it has all the same cert. as the old standbye Rotella, and at a sale price that saved me $12 on the oil change I couldn't pass it up. $6 a gallon Castrol vs. $9.99 for Rotella.

 

After all the hoopla with castrol and Mobil in the 90's I will never use castrol again- I feel they are not truthful with their products and refuse to use them. They started the whole "synthetic" confusion. I would have continued with Rotella...

One thing I've definately noticed is that the ol' Rotella stench that lasted for about 500mi. after the oil change is gone. Sightly more quite now also.
