Any 600 owners here get
decent mileage?
Are all the new CTD HO 600's getting lousy mileage?
If you're a new owner and getting good/decent mileage let's hear it!
I may not buy next Fall because of this.
Thanks!
DT.

I've had mine for a week now, took two long road trips. One from that whats his name (T.G.) down in St. Louis (great sales service, great deal, worth the fly from Mich.)First road trip started out at 14. after the trip was over I was getting 16 on the highway(852 miles). Second road trip only 300 miles still around 16 to 16.5(hand measured) I love this truck!. No leaks,no funny smells, a minor drone @ 2000 rpms and plenty of power.
P.S. Thanks for all the help guys (everybody on this website), this forum is awesome and saved me alot of money and time.

So far I have 200 miles of just country roads. (I need to open this beast up on the highway!!!) I've been getting about 13 mpg. I get a little bit of smell when sitting at a light with the heat on. I can't tell if I have a hesitation because of the type of driving. Overall, I'm ear to ear grins . This beast is well worth it and I think the mileage can only get better. Fit and finish and ride is PERFECT!!
Ditto what cessna1 says about everybodies help. THANKS

Thanks for the info guys!
Cessna1, what's in St. Louis? A dealer?
How much of a deal did you get?
Would it be worth a flight from Boston?
Thanks again,
DT.

I am getting about 14.5 mpg running around town @ 800 total miles....still way better than my '98 1500 360 gasser got.

Tommygun, a member on this board and on the TDR, sells trucks for 3% under invoice. He's even posted that he's willing to give you a quote to use as leverage to get a better deal from your local dealer.

The best deal is to know an employee of DamilerChrysler, they are allowed to share their employee pricing with a few people each through the end of this month. That's about 5% under invoice I'm told.

I've got about 1000 miles on my CTD 600. I get about 12.3 in town (says the computer) and i get 16 - 18 freeway, unloaded, depending on my speed (65 - 85).
I'm still hoping it gets better, but I've only towed a few hundred miles once with it so far so i know I have some break in miles left.
