Still wondering. With my intake LP working, would I leave it in the and disconnect it so it uses the draw straw for the raptor or does it have to comeout?

He still needs to drop the tank to remove the canister to remove the in tank pump on his 06.

Very true, I somehow missed the fact that he has an 06 which is a different install than the 03-04 that had the canister mounted pumps. My apologies for that!

So when I drop the tank, What is left so the Raptor can utilize the stock draw straw but still remove the pump?

You will either have to modify the stock canister, or put a Jeep Liberty CRD canister in.

Gurr. Why can't thing just be simple these days!

Ok so now for modifying the stocker what do you have to do?

Lotsa sites sell kits for removing the pump. Vulcan sells them and Glacier sells them. You don't need the whole thing with the new draw straw going into the canister, just the part that removes the pump. Someone was selling them, can't remember who.
A Liberty canister would work well too and be simple but they're bout 100 bucks.

So I have been searching around, and ThoroughBred Diesel says that you don't need to drop your tank when you install the Raptor...

Link

Can someone confirm or deny this? Would be WONDERFUL to know if I need to drop it or not and spend extra money on a Liberty modded canister.

If your planing to stay with 3/8" and have an 03-04 that is correct, otherwise it needs to be dropped, or the bed removed.

Well I plan on doing the Big line kit sooooo...next question.

What is entailed in modding the stock conister? If it is a simple thing to do I would rather save the 100 bucks and not buy a Liberty canister mod.

You can get a Dorman fitting for ½" hose to the stock 03-04 canister AH.

Someone used to make a little machined hootie where you removed the intank pump and attached it in it's place. Not sure if they're around anymore, everyone seems to be going with the new ½" draw straw instead.
Simplest way would be to get a Liberty and pair it up with the AD100.
