Another 2004.5 no start

Hello all. I have 2004.5 3500 2WD 6-sp manual with 185,000+ miles. Started to have a hunting idle when coming to a stop. Got about another 30-40 miles and stopped and when I tried to start, lotsa cranking but no start.
Here is what I do know:
lift pump new and can overflow the bowl pretty quickly with the lid loose.
installed Isspro rail pressure guage and while cranking shows 5000-8000.
disconnect FCA and guage shows close to 25000 and no start.
pulled banjo bold from pressure relief valve on top of rail and cranked over and saw a decent truckle of fuel from the tubing but nothing from the valve.
no codes until I pulled the wire from the FCA and now a P0251 code only present.
Everything that I have read says there should be enough pressure to start. It does catch just a little but then pressure drops a little and no start.

Any help in this is greatly appreciated.

Could be an injector leaking.

I have not tried this, or even seen it done, but I have heard using WD-40 the same way that either is used will help starting with something like this. (if it is an injector...) Like I said, this is hearsay...

Thanks Madhat. Going to try the starting fluid trick tomorrow, weather permtting. Everything that I have read says that I have enough rail pressure to start, but it just ain't happening. I truly hope someone knows and can help end this misery for me.

Don't use either!!!

Use WD 40. If either contacts with a hot grid heater... kaboom. I also think that it is bad for cylinder pressure.

So I got up this am and decided, due to time on the motor, I am just gonna bite the bullet and pull the injectors and replace. I spent about 2.5 hours stripping and marking the parts. Of course it started raining during it all and had to break out the tarp. Took a lunch break, then another 1.5 hours removing the actual injectors. First 2 were clean with a little corrosion on the injector body; #3 had a lot of carbon on the tip; #4 was a female dog to pop out and had carbon on the tip; #5 & #6 were easy and clean.

I hope I don't live to regret doing this when it comes time to install.

Update

Working saturday and sunday, the new injectors are installed. With a moderate amount of cranking and nice cloud of smoke, it fired up. So far, so good.
