Hi Guys. Checked mine the other day and they were loose. Tightened them down and the tap-tap seems louder. How tight is tight. Thanks.

Got around to pooping the hood and sure enough, mine was ticking too and the small screw was loose. Got noticeably quiter after tightening. Thank for the heads up, madhat. You da man.

I TTY... (torque to yield), fairly tight, but not straining. Heck, if it made it louder, then take them off...

The number one line doesn't have a hold down on it. On older trucks number 6 doesn't either.........

That's what I noticed too. Only 5 of them blue isolator thingies. I'm just puzzled as to why it's the #4 that comes loose. I checked all the others and they were fine, but #4 was way loose.

Annoying TIC!!!

Ok I tightened mine and the last four were loose. If this works I will be so happy! It has been driving me nuts for over a year!!! Hopefully it'll have an effect on the (what sounds like valves but isn't) clatter when I accelerate!!!

Are these insulators or isolators?

They're an isolator and also serve to strengthen the line as a stabilizer.
