Amsoil MTF in a NV5600

My 6 spd grinds going into reverse if I don't let the countershaft wind down a little after hitting the clutch. DC won't warranty it because it isn't bad enough, yet. Of coarse, the dealer says theirs is the only lube that's any good. Has anyone that's had this problem tried Ams. MTF for a synchro problem? How did it do? I haven't priced either yet but the Ams. is probably cheaper. I've talked to Ams. before and they will say anything to sell their stuff. I'd rather hear from MTF users. I know past threads say it works good but I don't recall anyone saying they used it to fix a problem. How does MTF compare to the DC lube in a trans with good synchros? That should be a good indicator. TIA! Craig

I'm running Amsoil MTF. Still a little cluncky when cold (3rd gear) but smooth as butter when warmed up. Also much easier to downshift. I like it much better than the Pennzoil Synchromesh fluid.

The clutch is fine. Have you ever tried agruing with two dealers that say "they all do it, it's normal"? I don't have a prayer! I'll try the MTF. There's been a lot of bad reports about DC warranty - it sucks. I've also tried DC customer service - they're even worse. Anyone know of an Ams. dealer in the west valley? Craig
