Question Ambient cab temp...

Just picked up my new truck yesterday.

Last night while driving around I noticed that if the windows were closed it gets a bit warm in the cab.

The outside temp was ~70 and a bit humid.

Anyone else notice this?

Could it be just the engine heat radiating into the cab?

It's just warm enough to make you want to open a window or turn on the AC.

Thanks!

DT.

I have noticed that the cab heats up very quickly once the windows are closed and the air is turned off. I usually drive with the AC on anyway.

I run my a/c all the time. It gets very stuffy in there pretty fast. If I get cold, I'll turn it off for a bit but hardly ever run with it off for long periods unless it's in the 50's and low humidity outside. Between my bad breath and bloomer melodies, well, you know...

If you run with at least the fan running you might be OK. I always have some windows cracked anyway. I have the vents on the windows so I can always leave a window open
