Am I gettin' ripped off on Alignment?

Am I gettin' ripped off on Alignment?
Took truck into an alignment shop. He calls me back later and says that the dodge stock front end cannot be adjusted for camber and that the front left is way out of camber, passenger is right on. He says he has to order an adjustable ball joint ($220) plus 1 hour labor.
I don't know enough to know if this is reasonable or not. Any idea?

Its plenty but not way out of line. Those adjustable ball joints for these trucks are expensive and you are probably getting charged full retail. Assuming they want to put in the adjustable upper?
I would be questioning why one side is "way out". Could just be a bad production axle or maybe damage.

If you'll search "adjustable ball joint" there's allot of info on the forum. I just did a quick look and some of the threads described R&R, how to set adjust the joint etc. Just allot of good reading if you want additional info.

Our OEM ball joints are not adjustable. I had the same problem at one point. My lowers were shot, I replaced all four with non adjustables. When I did the research, I found out that a lot of guys with adjustables were having to adjust them a lot. The non adjustables are 'set' to spec, per se. I would go with them unless you have a lot of lift or go off road A LOT...
Don't get moogs. I made that mistake. I can't remember what the hot ball joint is right now, but make sure it's greasable.

I have not heard anything bad about either. Carli's were recommended to me when I did mine, but XRF have been hot on the forums lately. Talk to the people that have them on their trucks now, see what they say.
