All type of problems this morning and then a P0700 code
I was running the truck a little hard this morning, on #4 setting on the quad, and as soon as I let of the throttle it began acting strange. Then I went to push on the throttle again and RPMs shot up to 3k plus. Let of the throttle and there was a delay before it went back down to idle. I pulled off the highway, which was very tricking to say the least, and ran the codes. P0236 and P0700 came up. I have researched and found out it was a tranny code and that it could lead to many more problems. However, it started back up and ran fine. Went through all the gears and just the check engine light is still on. Should I be concerned because I am about to take a 3,000 mile round trip?
Thanks in advance for the input.

P0236 Turbo/Super Charger Boost Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance.
Check your map sensor connection on the quad harness. Disconnect and reconnect.
P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request) Not sure on this one. Need a manual printout.

I do not know if it was a good idea but I had the codes cleared by a local shop that my friend owns. They stated the codes they received were related to the throttle sensor, over boosting, and some type of transmission code (basically what the p0700 code states). I am figuring that the tranny cannot handle any excessive acceleration due to its age. Also, my truck tank was full and my transfer tank was full (155 gallon total) and that probably does not help with a week tranny.

P0700 is a tranny code on the engine data side, you will need to access the transmission side of the ecm with a scan tool to find out the exact transmission code that is set. The rev to 3000rpm sounds like you may have a had a transmission flare issue which is basically when a clutch pack doesn't hold pressure and slips, can be caused by many different things but you will need the actual code to proceed. If you haven't cleared the codes yet...don't! Find out what code it is first otherwise you may never know....
Never mind I see you already had it cleared...see if the shop recorded exactly what the transmission codes were?
