Alignment specialists...HELP

Alignment specialists...HELP

It all started when I put on new tires (Wrangler SilentArmor stock size).I wanted an alignment but I NEEDED upper ball joints.So I replaced those,and since I was doing that I decided to do the lowers too.Did the alignment and the truck kinda wandered.Checked/changed the link-bar bushings (worn) and steering stabalizer.Then it was better.Had a little (very little) play in the drag link.So I decided to put the extra couple hundred bucks in and replace all the steering components.Had the alignment redone and it still wanders a little but the worst thing is when you are going straight and you turn the wheel in either direction the truck feels like it is drifting...the best way I can describe it is-It feels like you turn on a gravel road and it slides around.

Like I said...So far the upper/lower balljoints,link bar bushings,stabalizer,tie rods,drag link ,the link connecting to the pitman arm,and tires are ALL BRAND NEW!What am I missing???My alignment is in the green.Then ball joints are .5* positive offset the camber was OK and the toe-in was adjusted.The only thing I haven't done yet is lubricate my tailgate and rotate my parking meter money.

The green zone alignment often isn't good enough for a solid axle front end - have it set to your specifications.

Driver caster +3.5 to 4*
Passenger caster +5 to 5.5*
Toe - absolute minimum (1/10*)

Any mods to the front end?

I've got a dually and when I air up the rear tires to max I feel the same what you describe. I lower the pressure down to 50 or so and its much better.

Just an idea....

Absolutley NO mods to the front end-or any of the truck.

NJTackle:
I have tried to air down the tires and it did help with the drifting sensation but I thought maybe it was only 'masking' the problem.I think I'm 65psi front and 60psi back maybe I'll try the back at 50psi and see if that helps it.

The only other thing I am going to try for the wandering (although it's a debatable idea) is adjust my ceptor shaft on the steering box.
